Snow by Cynthia RylantFrom the Reading Library of the Explorers.

During the Schoolmate’s winter break, New England was treated to a snowstorm. With 9-12 inches of snow on the ground, Snow, by Cynthia Rylant, seemed a good choice for the first book of the year.

Snow reads like a poem, with strong images and lyrical text. The words of Snow are accompanied by soft, colorful illustrations. Lauren Stringer is the illustrator of these magical drawings, that bring the snow to life in white and icy blue tones.
